PROactive Media, Inc. signs Leticia Rieman as Vice President of Licensing & Acquisitions
Orlando, FL - March 18, 2005 - PROactive Media, Inc. strengthens its position as a provider of quality, worldwide educational and entertainment programming with the hiring of Leticia L. Rieman as the Vice President of Licensing & Acquisitions. She will also serve as Producer of Special Projects. This executive brings an impressive resume' to the negotiations table and has already provided the company with several media asset deals.
Ms. Rieman has secured contracts with Sovereign Productions to represent lucrative media titles potentially worth $1 million to PROactive Media, Inc. The first contract, which is in effect, is an acquisition deal for the Comedy Classics Film Library. The second contract, which is under negotiations, is for exclusive rights in the United States to offer the "60 Second Housecall" medical news, lifestyle and entertainment series for digital download for Internet and cell phone industries.
In TV Broadcasting during 1980-1983, Ms. Rieman acted as Producer and Associate Producer on several hundred Entertainment and Public Affairs programs, including, for Metromedia, a production for "The Midday Show" which was awarded an EMMY for outstanding "Discussion/Interview Series." The programs covered international, national, and local issues and involved Fortune 500 Companies, Unions, Consumer Groups, and Politicians, including Presidential Candidates and members of the U.S. Senate. In addition, live and variety shows included top celebrities and outstanding authors, such as Neil Simon, Jerry Lewis, Steve Allen, Rita Moreno, Isaac Asimov, Pete Hamill, Brooke Shields, Bianco Jagger, Mohammed Ali and Wilt Chamberlain.
She worked in Film and the Entertainment field on the design and implementation of promotional campaigns for Oscar, EMMY and Grammy Award-winning projects such as Felini's "Amarcord," Kurosawa's "Dersu Uzala," Hal Prince's "A Little Night Music" (the film) and with the New York Drama Critics Circle Award-winner Miguel Pinero. 1974-1980.
Leticia Rieman has over eighteen years of experience in the areas of strategic planning, marketing and promotion. She holds credits as a TV producer and special events producer on international projects, including work with the United Nations. She was elected to the "Who's Who of American Women" in 1991-92. Through her connections, PROactive Media will also have access to Latin-American media titles.
